My passion is in guiding others to deepen their love for themselves, their partners and the world around them, to embody love as a vehicle to live in their original Soul Essence. I also have a passion for helping people heal their inner child, which is so necessary to remove the blocks we have to being fully present in our relationships as well as in our own lives!
I have spent the past decade going through intensive personal growth and over a year training as an Integrated Spiritual Growth & Conscious Relationship Coach. I offer coaching for Individuals in Self Love & Personal Empowerment, Spiritual Growth and with Couples for Relationship Transformation. If you are interested in having the opportunity to experience this deep process, I invite you to learn more here.
My Holistic coaching method is a fusion of Eastern philosophy perspective with influences from Neuroscience and my formal studies of Positive and Jungian depth Psychology. I utilize a Mind-Body-Spirit approach to guide you in achieving full integration. I specialize in helping others love themselves again, feel empowered and transform their relationships through healing inner child wounding, and loving from the heart space.
I hold my Graduate Degree in Counseling Psychology and have further specialty training in trauma, compassion and mindfulness. I became disenchanted with conventional counseling methods and limitations of traditional talk therapy, especially in cases of healing deep, lifelong trauma. When I discovered the life coaching model and its more positive, pro-active client empowering process, I knew at once this was the path I had been seeking!
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by behavior, love and spirituality, so I am a lifelong student of all the things human experience and am always striving to deepen my wisdom and understanding so that I may serve others. I am continuously studying love, intimacy & relationships, attachment, trauma, neuroscience, compassion, mindfulness, Buddhist Psychology and spirituality. I have done continuing education on Trauma recovery and Compassion focused therapy (CFT) with the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine (NICABM). I am also a Certified Reiki Practitioner.
My Personal Philosophy
Being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) has taught me so much, even though the journey has been at times excruciating, to say the least! I spent the first half of my life recovering from my Fundamentalist Christian Evangelical upbringing. As a teen, I rebelled against religion, but for the next 15 years really felt the emptiness of my cast out spiritual self. It wasn’t until my early 30’s that I discovered a new way of being Spiritual that felt aligned with me.
Now, for the past decade that I have been practicing New Thought and Eastern Spiritual Philosophy, my life has flourished and feels like it has meaning again. This took me on the journey of healing without my even realizing I was on it or how profoundly it would alter my life. I feel like an entirely different person than I did before, as though that was a different lifetime!
- I believe in Love above all else.
- I believe there is truth in all religious traditions and that the variations are merely cultural expressions.
- I believe it is humans who have exaggerated the perceived differences between religious traditions.
- I believe when we begin to access our full consciousness and open our hearts, differences can be something to celebrate rather than fear.
- I believe that although we are all unique and beautiful, not one of us is more special than another. Each one of us is fully capable of healing, living in Love, operating at a higher level of consciousness, and becoming enlightened.
My work and philosophy has been influenced by and I have learned much from teachers such as Thich Nhat Hahn, Tara Brach, Matt Kahn, Marianne Williamson, John Welwood, Esther Perrell, John Gottman, Dr. Stan Tatkin, Dr. Anodea Judith, Gregg Braden, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Joe Dispenza and more.
I have been married to my husband and conscious relationship partner for 15 years. That is not to say that everything is perfect all the time. Relationships are truly a continuous work in progress and ours has definitely been a journey. Together, we have six children (I know, phew! Fortunately, they don’t all live at home anymore)! My husband, Donley Sissom, is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Wellness Coach here in Bellingham, Washington, founder of Flow Wellness Center.
When not immersing myself in my passion for helping others, I relish spending time with those I love (especially my furbabies: Lucey the Sheepadoodle, my kitties Cosette and Bella and Lilac, my Angora bunny), reading, having a long soak in a salt bath, practicing yoga, dancing, listening to beautiful music, vintage style, supporting the arts and living in constant awe of the ruggedly spectacular beauty of the Pacific Northwest that is my Soul home.
